Welcome to
Bollin
Primary SchoolLearning is at the heart of all that we do as we strive to develop the children as active, motivated, resilient learners who thrive in a caring, supportive environment.
We strive to develop children’s knowledge and skill across all areas of the curriculum so that we nurture and grow well-rounded children who could be the mathematicians, scientists, writers or historians of the future.
We very much look forward to welcoming new children and families and prospective parents are actively encouraged to contact the school office and arrange a visit.

Year 1 Pupil
I love learning outside at Bollin! We get to plant seeds and look after the vegetables and flowers in our gardening area. It’s really fun watching them grow and giving them water to help them stay healthy. I like getting my hands messy in the soil and finding out what plants need to live. When we go outside, it feels like we’re exploring and learning at the same time. It makes me happy and excited to come to school.
Year 2 Pupil
I love coming to Bollin because every day feels fun and exciting. My teacher helps me when I’m stuck and always makes me feel proud of my work. I like learning outside, especially when we visit the allotments or explore nature in the playground. I feel happy at school because everyone is kind and we all look after each other.
Year 4 Pupil
Bollin is a really friendly school where we all try our best and help each other. I enjoy having lots of different lessons and getting to try new things, like coding, art projects and playing in sports competitions. Our teachers explain things clearly and make learning interesting. I also like that we get chances to take responsibility, like showing younger children around the school or helping with assemblies.
Year 5 Pupil
Using my 1:1 device has really helped me with my learning this year. I like that I can use tools that make my work easier to understand, like text to speech, read aloud features and voice typing. They help me keep up in lessons and show my ideas clearly. I feel more confident because I don’t have to worry about writing everything by hand, and I can focus on the learning instead. Having my own device means I can work independently, stay organised and take part fully in every lesson. It’s made a big difference to how much I enjoy school and how well I can learn.
Year 6 Pupil
Being in Year 6 at Bollin has given me confidence and has helped me get ready for secondary school. I’ve enjoyed taking on leadership roles, especially helping younger pupils and being part of school events. The teachers challenge us but also support us so we can achieve our best. I’ve loved the opportunities we get here – from trips and workshops to team projects and taking part in the wider community. I will always remember Bollin as a place where I felt safe, encouraged and part of something special.
